you may like Seminyak. The top end of Seminyak is still semi-rural, but only a few minutes in a taxi from busy Legian. If this sounds like you, tell us what you would like by way of hotels and restaurants etc. I generally go for traditional type hotels and inexpensive restaurants. Others on here have different tastes.
