When we were in Vanuatu a few years back, we collected quite a number of shells. Our driver took us to some government official place, where we had to pay a sm amount for the export of the shells. When we arrived back to oz, we declared these some smart arse customs guy wasn't too happy. But as soon as I said I have wriiten paper work all signed, that was a different story he didn't even ask to see the shells, just said have a nice day.
