I found the beach at nusa dua to be non-existent 50% of the time due to low tides. I also found the food inside the compound to be expensive, the choices for getting out of there by transport more difficult and expensive and the general atmosphere to be less "rustic", if you like. :) In other words, it's exactly how you'd expect an area filled with 5 star resorts to be.
Quite expensive, quite luxurious and just the way half the people like it and half the others don't. It's all a matter of personal taste. The resorts generally are magnificent.
