There's a fabulous shop in Ubud that sells all sorts of fabric including Songket. Forgotten the name but it is in the road that runs next to the football field. It's not cheap but that's not surprising given the work that goes into it. We bought a 5.5 metre length about 12 months ago at a cost of 900,000 Rp (1M less 10% - always ask for the discount!). It's burgundy with gold thread but made of 'shot' fabric so that the colour changes from burgundy to red depending on the angle you view it at. We use it as a wall hanging and it is such a wonderful reminder of Bali.
