The Villa Bintang is a 3 star and the Aston Bali is a four star. I did like the Villa Bintang but they have a crappy breakfast and some of the rooms had not been refurbished when we stayed there. Their staff are better than the Aston. I probably would go for the Aston or even have a look at the Grand Mirage. Not sure but I think The Grand Mirage is a little cheaper than the Aston. I am also surprised that there is only $100 diff between the Aston and Villa Bintang. I assume you mean on the whole booking. When we stayed at the Villa Bintang it cost approx. A$67 a night compared to A$102 a night at the Aston. Also The Aston Bali had a website last year. Don't eat in the hotel they are too dear, plenty of cheaper restaurants on the street, only change your money at the Kodak Shop opposite the Club Bali Mirage and use Gold cabs where possible as they are own by Balinese.
