Stay with the money belt or bum bag. They cost 20,000 -30,000Rp (black leater or material type) across the road from the Discovery Mall in Kartika Plaza at the small stalls or in the Club store under Discovery mall which stocks them but are slightly dearer. I wasn't wearing one when I lost my mobile phone in Bali. I purchased a bum bag and stowed my new phone, cash, credit card and small camera in it. No problems. This left my hands free and avoided the worry of putting something down and forgetting to pick it up. I learnt an expensive lesson.
