My daughter had quite a severe reaction to mossie bites in Bali. The end result was nasty welts and fevers.
We met an Australian nurse who said to use Tea Tree Oil (She even dropped some into us at our hotel) 4 times a day on all the bites...(would have been easier to bath her in it I think). The tea tree oil really helps reduce the swelling as well as stop the itch.
A Balinese remedy .... Bokashi Rub Oil.... is available in the supermarkets and is excellent.
Vicks works a treat too
