I am a solo traveller heading to Bali in Mid March for about 6 days - mainly for surfing and a get-away trip. I am looking for budget accommodation at Kuta for its easy access to shopping area, surfing schools and restaurants.
I heard Bounty Hotel is quite good but I am a bit worried if the place is gonna be packed with 21 yr-old youngster banging the place/the 24hr pool (no offense - just that a jammed pool won't be sth I look forward to, i am out of that age bracket). My other choice would be Nusa Dua since it is more resort-like but is the Nusa Dua beach for beginner surfers?? How long is the ride from Nusa Dua to Kuta shopping area if I wanna do some shopping at night?
