Firstly, would not walk to and from the spa. Taxi's are so cheap and why arrive hot and sweaty or leave in a serene state only to get all hot and sweaty on the way home!
As for the best spa this will come down to how much you want to spend. If money is no object and you want to go relatively close to Legian then the spa at "The Legian" hotel in Seminyak is an absolute day of pampering. Expect to pay around AUS$250.00 for a 3 or 4 hour session in one of their spa villas.
I was married in Bali in late March this year and for a treat for my mum & mum inlaw we treated them to a day of pampering at Bodyworks II in Kerokoban (which is basically up the road from Seminyak). They had a 1 hour message, body scrub, rose petal bath, facial and nails done over a 4 hour period. All for around AUS$75.00.
Great part about Bodyworks II is that it is located up the road from La Lucciola restaurant. You can combine the spa session with a light lunch overlooking the beach afterwards.
Mum & mum inlaw said they had a wonderful relaxing time.
Also highly recommended is Prana Spa in Legian.
