Easiest way to put it is they are a new fangled toy that has been out for a few years now & that the kids play with.They are a plastic disc that spins.They come in slightly different versions ,colours,models & decorations. They have a plastic string that you pull that makes the tops spin.It's just another fad toy,to summarize - they are a spinning top.
These days you can pick them up in the discount stores in Australia for about $2 because the fad has waned a bit & they are no longer the "in toy " for most kids.
No idea what price they'd be in Bali because we didn't look but I did see them in both Matahari's stores at Kuta & Denpasar as well as Ramayana at Denpasar.I also think they may have been one of the possible prizes you could win /trade in your prize tickets for at Time Zone at both Kuta & Legian.
