If you go out the back of the Conrad you will find a brick path on the beach. It loops all the way to the Grande Mirage and back the other way past the Club Med aways. If at the Club Med end you go out the jetty and back to your starting point the whole loop is about 10 kilometers. The dogs are all gentlemen (scared the hell out of me that first morning). I suggest you get out there about 6am and you will see the presunrise. The clouds turn red and reflect and turn the Indian Ocean red. The locals are out there fishing, bathing, sorting seaweed, running holding ceremonies and playing with their kids. Give everybody a big good morning all you will be part of the morning scene in a few days. Towards the Grand Mirage end (about 700 meters from the end) look inland and you will spot a home made weight set. The guys lift around 7am and are happy to have you join them. Ain't nothing going to get those love handles, but pushing away from the table. If you are traveling with a companion it pays to get your exercise out of the way early. Plus you will see some great stuff and meet some of the locals away from the shopping gawking throngs. Good luck. When is your trip?
