Had no problems using a very rare NZ bank card over there. You should just check with your bank to see if it works overseas. however what we did find is that we should have taken our own currency to convert as the bank charged $5 per transaction and they had a different currency rate which needless to say was heaps worse. Heading over there in 4 weeks and this time we will take cash. Dont be put off by the stories about the money changers, take your own calculator and dont leave the shop untill you are satisfied, count it yourself though!! they all try and dick ya but thats just the way they are.
