If you're still reading the posts this far down, this is my suggestion. Post again and stipulate a cultural dance and where you'd like to see it, ie Seminyak, Ubud etc. Plenty of "culture" in Ubud. I've seen a few over the years, but some of it not really my thing.
The most entertaining for me was the frog dance. One more variation on the old story of a prince being turned into a frog. My recollection is that he has to be kissed by the beautiful princess to become a prince again, but as all his mates are frogs, how does she know which one to kiss?
Another goodie is the joged dance. In this one members of the audience are invited up, one at a time, to dance with the female dancer. Fortunately, you don't have to know what to do, [none of us know do we?], but lots of fun. If your wife has a sense of humour, then this could be the best choice.
