We love bali but we love exploring other parts of Asia also.In the last 2 1/2 years we went to Bali, Singapore, Bali, Thailand and about to go to bali again in July. How people can go repeatedly to one place when they don't go anywhere else is beyond me....of course one day you will grow sick of it.
I also think Barong was a huge mistake ....i dislike that hotel and i think you would have felt better somewhere else similar to the one you stayed in before.
I still think is good to have a bit of an itinery if you are not there for a long while though as you don't want to waste precous time figuring stuff out.
Take a restaurant list and choose(lynneeD's is great)....take a list of addresses of shops that interest you.
