First time in Bali, suggestions?

Arriving in Balion 9th April, staying at the Legian Beach Hotel, any food/bar/shopping/tourist suggestions? I've been reading a lot of the posts, have been very helpfull. I've purchased a Lonely Planet giude, but want personal experiences/recommendations... thanks, can't wait to get ther :D
