We also have had the same problem with travelling to Bali with a child with Peanut Allergy. We take the same preventatives as dromomanic does with the antihistime and epi-pens x 2 we also give our son a half a zyrtec tablet everyday as a preventative measure as he also reacts with contact to peanuts. We have been to Bali twice with him now and are going again in 2 weeks and have eaten heaps of different places with no problems.
