yes was there in august , went to lake toba and crusied around sumatra, perfectly safe , friendly and very beautiful and very cheap, if you go with a guide no probs, wnet to see orangutuan at bukit lawang, medan was so intersting, went across to batam island from medan it is worth the trip cheers sury
