I have not been to monkey forest, but the other monkeys that I encountered elsewhere in Bali are all rather docile and will just sit around waiting to be fed. The monkeys at Uluwatu are more mischievious (not really aggressive), they will grab things in exchange for food, so just keep all your necklaces, earrings, glasses out of sight before going to Uluwatu, and they will ignore you.
Nope, have not taken any rides, just sightseeing and shopping.
Green Garden Hotel is really small, but it's affordable and rooms are fine, and the small pool is usually not crowded.
