i know exactly how u feel..... having travelled to almost every part of the earth (my job requires me to travel around the globe), i've learnt that you NEVER question a custom officer. Just do whatever they want and they'll leave you alone. If they want to check anything, let them. If they want to ask questions, let them and answer straight (ie don't try to get funny with them and don't smile unnecessarily). that's my 2 cents' worth. it's better to take it and keep it inside (where customs officers are concerned) than get detained for hours for no reason and missing a flight.....
