When my hubbie asked our local GP about getting shots for the times we have travelled to Bali and Thailand the doctor asked him were we going to be spending alot of time in the jungle areas. We said no and he told us not to bother with getting shots so we didn't bother.
We have been lucky I guess, have never caught anything, not even a case of the bali belly. We Do ensure we have mossie spray on us and only drink the bottled water. It's a personal choice if you want the vaccinations and peice of mind (especially for the kids) but they do sound pretty expensive.
