PLEASE NOTE : My salary etc. is mentioned in this post. Please do not think this is to "brag" or anything - it is so I can get the best advice I can.

Hi everyone. Been a long time reader but never posted before. I need some good advice and hope that people here can help me out, as you all seem to know your stuff when it comes to Bali.

Quick history about me : I am 25, now single, professional internet poker player, living in United Kingdom.

Basically, I want to move out to the East (quite possibly permanantly) to live life like a King. My current income is approx. $50,000 a year from playing poker (online). I also own property in UK that is worth approx. $550,000. I can sell and hopefully buy something nice abroad.

I have done research on many places and Bali seems to be the place to be if you are young, free and single. From what I can understand, at present, I can only go there for 60 days at a time.

I intend to go out there alone in the next few weeks and experience it first hand if the following questions can be accompilished...

1) As a pro poker player, will Bali give me residence for life? Or do I need to own a business / have an employed job?

2) What is internet access like in Bali? Do they have power cuts? Is broadband available there?

3) If I go for 60 days, what is the cheapest way to live? eg. Should I pre-book a Bed & Breakfast of sorts, or should I look for cheap accomodation when I get there? If the latter, where do I go and who should I approach?

I think that's it for now, but no doubt more questions will spring to mind with time :)

Many thanks to everyone who takes the time to read this, and even more thanks to those who take the time to reply. Hoping this doesn't just get bumped up the board!!! :)

Kumar
