words to be useful with the Time Share sellers. "Tidak" means No. If they think you have been there a few times or understand them even a little they seem to leave you alone. Other than that we have found that teasing them just a little and with a good sense of humour always works really well. That way things don't get too nasty.
They are only trying to make a living and we have to be respectful as we are, after all, tourists in their country. On a few occasions, I have been far more embarrassed by the disgusting behavour of some other Austalian tourists and the way I have heard them speak to shop owners. That is more frightening to me than a bit of a hard sell from the Balanese.
