We stayed there early Feb this year. Service was excellent, rooms good, breakfasts excellent - whatever your ethnic origins. We ate at the Zanzibar and it's neighbours too... and also found them great.
The rooms near reception overlooking the main pools were being renovated. We were over to the right overlooking the kids playground, and it was quiet if you needed to relax. Aircons worked well and were QUIET! We will go back there again - after we have tried Sanur.
