Fosters Lager is so bad Australia exports it. That's what our Free Trade agreements are really about -- getting rid of the crap we don't want.
Bintang and heinekken are almost the same beer... definitely within ten percent.
(For Carlos, whom I assume will read this even though it's responding to Thorsten)... I drank a Kingfisher tonight, and it was ok... but bottled in New Zealand. I still had to pay export prices, and I feel a bit ripped off, but I'm still drunk, so no biggie. I guess I should read the labels more closely.
Later in the evening, I was in a bottle shop and asked about the price of a six-pack of Elephant Beer. I was told $48 (Australian). That's just weird. For three slabs, I could fly to Bali. Once in Bali, the money I save on Bintang and cigarettes could buy me a house within three years.
It's a mad world. Thank God beer stops the dogs barking in my head.
Cheers.
