You will have a good time at the Adhi hotel, which is located in a lane that runs off and is part of the Bene Sari Lane system. The hotel is in a handy position and has a friendly atmosphere and this is why many Aussies and other nationalities return to the Adhi. It is like a home away from home. Up the lane you have a cheap laundry shop, some good restaurants (Enhay Cafe was our favourite)two small handy stores, car hire (see Wayan Sudimatra at the handy shop nearest the hotel to arrange a day trip), motorbike hire, a DVD shop, souvenir and tee shirt vendors and a money changer with internet setup. The money changer next to the surf shop is good, honest and reliable. The rooms are clean and big enough with adjoing balconies. It is a 3 storey complex built in typical Balinese style architecture and is engulfed by beautiful gardens through which a small fish filled pond wanders from the reception area to the rooms at the rear of the complex.
The rooms are rated at 2½ stars, but they are clean and have good a/c fitted. Each room has a mini bar, suitcase rack, large dressing table, medium size wardrobe, and 3 powerpoints. Also they have hair dryer in the bathroom and a radio and a tvin the main room. Aussie adapters are available at reception for charging phones etc. Rooms are cleaned daily and bath towels must be dumped on the bathroom floor if you want fresh ones. Pool towels are supplied after you get a card from reception and obtain them near the towel dispensary near the pool. They also have a small library near the pool and a massage and body works service available. The pool consists of a toddlers' pool with slide and a main pool which is about 4' deep one end and just over 6' deep the other. Pool lounges are at a premium around lunch time. The pool is well maintained and has a small swim up bar. We had brekky there every morning from a buffet style set-up. This included fresh fruit, fruit juice, toast, nasi goreng, mie goreng, eggs(different style each day) sausages or bacon and somedays fried tomato and onion. To finish off you could choose tea or Bali coffee (and the coffee was excellent with no dregs). We took our own milk up which was two X 500ml cartons frozen and wrapped in tghick newspaper. this lasted almost two weeks without going off as it was popped straight into the mini bar. We took the bottles of drink from the mini bar and stowed them in the wardrobe.
The Adhi is in a handy position and you can cut through the cottages to get to Legian Road, If you have pre-paid breakfast vouchers you can them at the Adhi cottages if you wish. My wife has been to the Adhi 3 times and this was my second time and I have no hestation going back there.
