We stayed at the Oasis Benoa and only returned home 5 nights ago. Your hotel is on the beach side of the street. Walk out the door of your hotel and go into any of the resaurants along the street. It doesn't matter. As long as you don't try to eat Western, it's all great. When you're walking up and down the street in the morning stop to look at the menus. Someone will come out and ask you if you want breakfast/lunch, you say I'm just planning for tonights dinner. They will hand you their card and give you a 15% or 20% discount. When you come back at night take a cab (you don''t want to eat all sweaty). Hand the card to the driver to avoid confusion, pay double the meter, it will be less than $1US. As you go in the restaurant they will remember from before and treat you as an honored guest.Doesn't matter where you go you'll want to go back.
Same with the laundries. There is one every 50 meters. They all cost the same and do a great job. I even had them wash the clothes I hadn't worn just so they would have that Bali smell. Every time I break something out I get a Bali rush. The main difference is some open at 7am and some at 9am. I like to get my errands done early so I opt for a 7am laundry.
Beware the money changers, I found one honest changer in Benoa named A$A. He is a wheelchair bound gentleman of the high honor. Any time a changer whips out a stack of 20,000 rupiah bill, run, do not walk out.
You need nothing but shorts, bathing suits, t-shirts and hawiain type shirts.
If you let me know the name of you hotel I'll give you some specifics. You'll do just fine and have great time no matter what you do. There is no best resaurant, laundry or message, they are all great and will treat you royal. jingles
