Sorry, could not help myself .... but I'll be serious now -
1. The best restaurants (value) in Tanjung Benoa.
* Can't help on this one - we have not eaten over that way before (only stopped for an icecream).
2. The best place to change money(Euro is this possible) or would it be better to use TC or Cash Cards
* Best places to change money is at Kodak shops, although you can just go to a money changer (lots around). Try and find a gov run changer, or if you just use any changer make sure they don't charge commission and also keep your eye on the exchange. Take your own calculator with you (just a small pocket type) and always punch in the amount you want to change and then use the conversion amount.
Again I stress - keep your eye on the money piles they will count out to you and dont be distracted by the people that will hang around while your trying to do it - ask them to "please go away".
I usually take a mix of TC's, cash and always have the credit card (stay with it when buying / paying for stuff). There is ATM's around, yet some have limits of how much you can get out.
3. The best place for a massage
* I am very bias here, yet if you are wanting a beach massage I never get anyone else but Emma, yet she only works (due to area restrictions) on the beach outside the Legian Beach Hotel. Highly recommended, yet a bit far to come from Benoa.
4. Would like to spend four days shopping and site seeing (Best Places)
5. A Guide
** This could be a very big answer - but really shopping is everywhere. Unless you have something specific in mind, the best thing to do is just walk around and look. You will find / see so many things that sometimes its hard to say no (to yourself, little own the people in the shops !)
The other thing to note is what quality level you are looking for. Like if you want better wood, better carving skill etc, then if you go up around Mas or Ubud you can find better quality items.
As for a guide, make sure you get one that is registered, and that uses a licensed vehicle for tourist transport. If you send us an e-mail we will send you back some details about this.
6. Laundry
* There will be places you will find down the street - I know the hotels charge more, yet it is usually a better job (again this depends on what your use to at home).
7. What to bring with us (Clothing) it will take us 20 hours to get there from Ireland.
* Parents have friends that come over to Australia from Ireland. They just love the warmer weather. If you like this also, you will love Bali ... although the humidity is higher than it is in most parts of Australia. Pack light ! - best advise. Shorts / t-shirts / short sleeves. I know some people like to wear long pants, yet I personally could not stand it there.
8. Any other tips
* We have very good basic language sheet, a basic info sheet about Bali, and fun list of things you can do in Bali. If you would like a copy again just drop us an e-mail.
