Ok, I have been pondering over the same problem.
First, are you taking the stuff with you or are you sending it back
via air freight or container.
If you are taking it with you, definately give the markets a go, because you may be able to get stuff cheaper.Get an idea of the prices though before you go.
If you are sending back via container, how do you know you are going to get what you ordered and what will the quality be like, if you buy stuff from the markets. Also will you be able to get sufficient quantities? I have found with smaller shops that they will sometimes substitute if they dont have the things that you ordered.
The selection of shoes and bags at Geneva is not the best.I dont know what the range of these is like at Sukawati.
There is a shop near the corner of Padma and Legian street, that has a good range of shoes and bags and will give you a business price if you buy a reasonable quantity. Also around the back of the Kumbasari markets in Denpasar is also a good place for these.
Next problem is, how much will it cost you to go to Sukawati and remember you have to add this to the cost of whatever you buy.
