there are plenty of restaurants along the road to Tanjung Benoa, but not much in the way of "regular shopping". We did an inspection of the Conrad last September, it is a very big lavish resort, the rooms are beautiful and the pool enormous, but I thought it had a rather "clinical" atmosphere. (really depends of what you like tho') I'd love the spend 2 or 3 days there sometime! The corner rooms are the best, they have a large walk in wardrobe.the baths rooms are very modern and shiek, We are staying at the Aston this year, it is a few doors down from the Conrad ( but a lot less expensive). Don't fortget that no matter where you stay in Bali, transport is so cheap that you can stay at one of the resorts away from the shopping areas and for just a couple of $s you can be in Kuta or Denpasar to do all the shopping you want. Then this is also Makros an Geneva, where you can get just about anything you want and do all your shoppingin one or 2 trips if you want.
