You can open a bali bank account all you need is your passport and a 500000rp deposit which is aprox $70AUD and you get the card in aprox 3 weeks, I will be there at the end of may for 6 months so i found this info out through the BCA "Bank Central Asia" website and off the forum here. BCA are everywhere in bali....Hope this helps
