We're travelling to Bali with our two kids - him 9yrs, her 13yrs, & are having some trouble finding affordable accomodation in Kuta & Ubud.
It seems as though family rooms do not exist & we'd have to book 2 rooms.
Does this sound correct, or are we being dealt a con job by the Travel Agent?
It's just that when in Hanoi a few years ago, family rooms were no problem, & a damn site cheaper than two seperate rooms. (All they did was put in a couple fold up beds.)
KUTA - 3 nights:
We have no recommendations for hotels as yet, so any input would be much appreciated.
We'd prefer a small - medium complex, Air condioning & pool essential.
(The agent has tried to put us in an enormous bloody thing with 3 pools - smaller is better I think if possible)
UBUD - 9 nights:
Hotel Tjampuhan has been highly recommended to us by a friend who was there 2-3 yrs ago.
Again, the agent says they don't offer family rooms so would have to have 2 seperate rooms, making the price prohibitive ($120US)
Any suggestions?
After Ubud, haven't decided yet. Hopefully a picturesque, quiet, interesting place on the coast.
Again, any suggestions?.
Many thanks for any input.
