Look for travel vac bags. Target, K mart etc have them, they are rolled, as Bokhara explains. Work just as well as the ones you need a vacuum for.
I've bought heaps of stuff in Bali. If you buy cushion covers, for example (I bought two HUGE floor ones at Makro one year) a lot of your savings can be offset by having to buy inserts here. If you take the bags you an get the inserts in Bali and they shrink down to nothing. Great for quilts also...really anything filled with (hot LOL) air.
I'm playing with taking some of my bedroom curtain fabric next time (x sleeps!) and having a quilt made here to match. Been quoted AU$300 here!! If curtain fabric wasn't so heavy I'd get my curtains made also.
Another tip..at Kuta Galleria there is a great brand name pots/pans shop. I've been pricing everything here, even Myer 50% off and will do a comparison in Bali as I'm in the market for some as a 25th wedding anniv pressie to myslef (romantic LOL)
S'pose I'd better be away and organise kid for school!!
