Hi guys. got back today but had to post this because this company sucked. It was teh worst day ever. The guys that picked us up didnt speak english. ok. And then ... we booked at one of those tour places and I asked 5 times for Bali international rafting. However...Bali rafting picked us up (the tour guy screwed us over - another warning - get them to write the name of the comany on the reciept and better yet just ring the places directly). Then we get there. instead of the 6 steps down that bali int. had it was liek 400 (i have a stuffed knee so yay). Then we get down the bottom and see the rafts - and all the patches holding them together. ok... until we get 200m down the river and the guide starts saying 'so sorry, boat broken'. it wasnt his fault and he really did teh best job all things considering . we went on the telga waja. not much water at the moment. pretty low, but the other company we saw Telaga Waja rafting had really nice looking new rafts. So - down the boat started to go. There apparantly is a spare raft - but another groups boat went flat after 100m, and their guide was already going back to get it, and the pump was in a boat that had left b4 us. It was crap. I thought we were going to die, i was really disappointed and we couldnt even paddle bcoz we just had to hang on bcoz insted of the raft bumping off teh rocks/cliffs ours was so flat that it crumpled into the rosk and then folded back in on itself. Which means if you were sitting at teh front (especially on the left hand side like me) you got thrown back into the boat, onto oars, and out of the boat. when we got to the 1/2 way point our raft was that flat that when you stepped out and put your foot on th eside of the raft it actually touched the ground - through the raft. For teh 2nd half it was a bit better - we took the pump and stopped every 5 minutes to re-inflate ourselves. So anyway... a coupel we talked to over lunch had a fine time, but they siad they saw SO many of the rafts pulled over and being pupmde up, so I'd steer way clear of this company, escpecially when they wouldnt give us any money back or another trip. KJust a word of advice. But on a postive note the next day we did Bali budaya cycling and I cant speak highly enough of this company and Arya the guide.
