Oddly enough, I have never ordered Solo in a city called Diet Coke (although I did buy one in a TAB).
Other weirdness... the same friend drank coke with milk in it, and my iced coffee was a normal hot coffee with ice added. (Orange juice is also often heated with ice added later -- maybe they think the heat will help melt the ice to make the drink cool.)
Tonic water can be a hard thing to find outside of major supermarkets. I don't think it's too expensive, but you can usually only get cans (about 300ml). Diet Coke (and imported Coke, which inexplicably is available in some Circle-K's) is around 12,000 rp, as opposed to local Coke (I don't think they make Diet) which is around 3,500rp.
