The South Aussie health sytem at it's best (ha ha) - now that sure is <ROFLMAO> Sorry if I sound bitter but I think it sucks big time but maybe I'm biased because it's a friend.
Maybe I'm a bit more bitter than Linda re Qantas & her intial treatment in Adelaide is because I got the worried husband's perspective first about a friend I care about via a phone call at 10.30pm at night.Okay,I'd already had heps of text messages from Linda but I was still waiting for a phone call from her family.I sure know where I will go or take any of my family re medical treatment in Bali if the need arises after what Linda's told us all.
I still stand by the idea that IF you can not afford travel insurance then you can't afford to travel - just hope their insurance company is as good as it has been & they get full expenses paid as they expect.
I just hope Linda's husband writes that letter to Qantas that he said he feels like writing.I think they suck big time ! After all from what he said the damn plane was only half full.They absolutely insisted that he MUST paid two full fares there & then on the spot when he notified them what had happened - not everyone can access $1600 at a minutes notice ?
I'd also like to say a personal big Thanks to Smudge re Linda's situation - as a friend of mine who lives in Bali he knew I was worried about another friend & stepped in did all he could to help.No matter what Ted says I'll always think of you as a real sweetie Smudge.
