Haven't stayed at the Barong but have stayed twice at the Bounty which is a 5 minute walk towards the beach in the same Lane - Poppies 2. Heaps of eating places and shops in this lane. You walk straight down the end of Poppies 2 and you hit Legian Street and the memorial site is right there. Had a look at the Barong though, I didn't like it but I thought the Bounty was good. We had a room around the back pool. Don't know if you can swap hotels, as is the sister hotel to Bounty.
