I think I'm the only person she knows in this country, and I'm not organised enough to get together such complicated documents as proof of income and tax returns (haven't done one for years).
My wife could do all that, but since she's never been in the same city as my friend, let alone met her, it might seem suss if she's writing a letter of support.
The thing is, she's only coming for a week and has more than enough to survive on (we're giving her free rent in Melbourne, but she wants to go camping along the Great Ocean Road for a few days). But DIMIA's notion of "enough" and a normal human's needs probably differ somewhat. I just don't know by how much, and I'm not sure they do either.
By the way... if she does get a visa, she'll be here for the Dewa concert. Maybe we can introduce her to your friend in need.
