They were working really hard on the renovations - the pool that wasnt in use looked potentially really great and the renovated rooms are very good. we stayed in a really nice one, very modern. but the new management really hasnt got a grip yet and the service fluctuated wildly - they didnt seem very motivated . Breakfast was great but the carpet was threadbare - dinner was dire, but you dont of course need to eat here. There is a small pool in use which is very nice. The whole place just lacked atmosphere - it was also nearly empty!! If you want a relaxing serence holiday try the Bali Hyatt in Sanur - Sanur is a really nice relaxing place and the Bali Hyatt is superb - far better that Sofitel!!
