Yes this is a lovely stop on the way to the volcano and lakes. It is very isolated - there were no other visitors while we were there. As you go in there is a list of people who cant enter and this includes 'mad men and women'!! The temple is almost part of the dense jungle which hems it in at all sides and the volcano is immediately behind it, acting as a dramatic background. There is a man-made lake in the compound. The carvings are all covered in moss and the whole area is filled with bird song. This is one of the wettest parts of the island so the vegetation is very lush and filled with wildlife. Going on from there to Bratan are some spectacular views of paddy fields so yes - well worth a visit for its tranquility
