We had to do this last year to get a FF ticket, on way there was Perth to Darwin and then Bali, on way back an extra stop at Alice too.
We nearly missed the connection in Darwin, so was stressed.
Can't complain as was a free ticket, but I wouldn't do it again, too much time in airports and feeling tired by the end of it, a 3.5 hour trip was +9 hours!!
