Will never forget on one of my first trips to Bali (back in the late 70' or early 80's):
I went alone and was lucky or unlucky enough (depending on how you look at it:) to be staying in the Legian Beach Hotel where there were a few football teams having their end of season bash.
Back in those days magic mushrooms were rife in Bali. The whole football team had partaken including, under peer pressure one of their youngest members who had never done anything like that in his life.
Anyone could see he was freaking out badly, but his mates were intent on going out raging and left him behind - with me!
I tried to calm him down and we went for a walk and he started getting hysterical saying that frogs were everywhere and jumping all over him. I told him there were no frogs and he was just imagining it (but then I did see a few tiny ones jump across the lane we were walking down).
In an effort to calm him down before he started screaming and possibly get arrested, as we were near my room I suggested he come in and sit down quietly for awhile.
Poor thing, he sat on my bed and literally wet himself! To this day still don't know if it was the muchies or me that scared the sh*t out of him.
Was it anyone here by any chance??? (LOL)
Have visited Bali approx every 5 or 6yrs since then. Always enjoy Bali. Every trip has been full of different experiences many of which I will never forget including this one.
