This is the way I see it. Everything I take can legally be bought in Australia. Everything which requires approval by the Australian Therapeutic Drugs Administration [TGA] has that approval. Some supplements are regarded in Australia as food and do not require a special approval. The TGA is a unit of the Federal Govt Health Department and is generally very thorough in assessing products.

I only take full, unopened containers, then I cannot be suspected of trying to hide anything. I declare them as "health supplements" and only once have I been questioned and that was just a customs officer trying to screw money out of me.

I take a supplement containing flaxseed. This is a commonly taken substance in Australia for assisting sports performance, muscle and joint function and recovery from exertion. It is legally taken by Olympic athletes etc.

I would assume that you take protein powder in conjunction with weight training etc. There are gyms in the Kuta/Legian area specialising in weight training etc, one of them owned by Ade Rai, a champion world class bodybuilder. http://www.musculardevelopment.com/rai.html
I'm sure they will be familiar with all the [legal] ways of helping muscular development.

If I can help in any other way, please email me.
