Geez, me & my big mouth!! Actually been a while since we stayed, our first visit after the bomb and it was very quiet still.
We booked a deluxe room and then there was a promo offering deluxe for the price of standard (ripped off..we thought LOL) Well, cos we'd paid for deluxe and they were all full with the promo they bumped us to a suite. Could have had the Forum party on the balcony and two bathrooms, lounge etc etc just for the two of us!!
We really liked the Hotel but not Benoa (sorry to those that love the area) I guess we were out of our comfort zone and only being there for 5 nights we really didn't find all the best places.
Apparently the beach is much improved..there was heavy machinery working on the groins etc when we were there. The spa is AMAZING!! Expensive and classy. We liked the Peninsular next door for a meal and drink, but we missed the cooking school restaurant (name escapes me).
God, I'm hopeless, offering to help and then only having my impressions, nothing definite. You will like Aston if you want to get away, recoup and unwind from work etc, then get stuck into things later in your holiday. That's what we did and it worked a treat for us. Lovely Hotel, quiet beach, gorgeous pool and brekkie exceptional, but big and rather impersonal for us.
