walking across the grates which were decidedly uneven with the open sewer underneath....back then jalan legian was so wide in comparison to today and all the open stalls 'shops'. Do you remember the old brightly coloured 'Jacpaks' which they used to sell?
I loved it back then and still do now, but appreciate what a heaven on earth it was before 'tourism' really really got going....cheers
