I too can relate to your hawkers comment. We stayed in Legian in 1993. I was 5 months pregnant, we were on a stopover back to the UK after visiting home (Bris) for a month. I was so OVER the constant hassle that I just stayed in the pool for the 3 days and sent my hubby out for me. (that in itself is another story!!!) I found that to get away from the hawkers, you had to wade thigh deep in the ocean cos they didnt want to get their jeans wet HAHAHAHAHA.
We are off to Sanur with our 2 kids (my girl has already been although in utero hahahaha) for their first time at a truly foreign culture. Can't wait to get a better feel for the place!!!
What did you do with your son, and how old is he? Would love some thoughts on kid stuff - my 2 are 11 g and 7 b.
