depends on the dates you intend to travel. I went last year on 15th not knowing it was Idul Futri. My travel agent didn't know either. Idul Futri is the bigget Moslem holiday. Java closes down for a week and everyone (from neighbouring islands also) comes to Bali for a week. Kuta was packed and traffic was at a standstill. A lot of people brought their large 4WD with them. Not many westerners at my hotel The Kuta Paradiso. Check the date for this year, as like Easter, it is governed by the moon. I would not go back again at this time but I am going back to Bali, this time in May. I can't wait.
