We have stayed at both ( melasti with kids Puri without) and I would definately say the Melasti is better.The Puri Raja rooms were tiny in comparison to Melasti ( ours was a superior room near the large pool at MBR) and the hotel has a very roomy feel to it whereas the Puri is more closed in.It does have two pools ( 3 at MBR) but I would think its more for couples and dare I say it older folks.....we are "middle aged" ouselves but the set that were there last year were definately older than us.Of course it was out of school holidays too.The food is better at the Puri but then you dont HAVE to eat there either !! Our room at the Puri was very tired whereas the MBR room was spot on.Hope this helps and doesnt confuse you even more !!Enjoy
