Just recently this was posted and I believe that the answer was 100,000 rp gave 2 months life on a simpati sim card and that is the max.
With Proxl you can pay 200,000rp at a proxl shop/office and it will be valid for 6 months. And I can vouch for that as I got mine in August and it was still valid end December when I returned to bali still with the credit on it.
I know Colleen recently trekked up and down jl legian in search of a shop which could put longer credit on a simpati card for Helen, but to no avail.
I am not sure but I think it was Lynned who posted with a difinitive answer on the subject.
