I stay at the Besakih every holiday and its great! The staff are wonderful and it has a really friendly "part of the family" atmosphere. You get young ones, older couples and families. The staff are excellent, especially house keeping who love a laugh and the guys at the front desk. The breakfast is great and the ladies on the beach are just lovely and give great massages.
If you can, ask your travel agent to request a room in the hotel wing closer to the beach. The bugalows are lovely but they are a tad older and I find the air con systems in the hotel section are better. Also if you get a bungalow near the entrance to the hotel, you may not appreciate the noise at night from the bar accross the road.
All in all a great hotel for any age group. Lovely pools and I think (personally) its the best situated pool on the beach in Sanur! Enjoy! I'll be there in May/June myself.
Make sure you dine at Mossimo's Italian Restaurant! Bellissimo.
