It's not ignorance. The subject just doesn't come up much ;-)
It's great to see inquiring minds such as yours take an interest in so many subjects on the Forum.
The Adopta ladies are a group of widows from the bombing brought together by a couple of Forumites known as David and Moira.
They are well supported by this Forum in their endeavours to start a new life for themselves through a Co-op that makes many garments...including Calico shopping bags...with sewing machines and materials provided by their many supporters.
David and Moira provide business guidance along with many many hugs when they are needed.
Which they still are.;-(
